Summer Workshops

Julia Saunders will lead a workshop that breaks down executive functioning skills, like planning, time management, organization, self-regulation, working memory and initiation, to better understand them as well as to share strategies to support areas of struggle. We will also be touching upon the cognitive science that underlies certain behaviors and difficulties in learning in order to approach our students with compassion and awareness, as well as to support them in their learning. This workshop will also broach the science of learning and what techniques and strategies can help students learn more effectively based on their particular strengths and weaknesses. This is open to parents and students, as it can be really helpful to have a shared understanding of what's going on beneath the surface when a student is struggling in one or more areas of learning.
